I have a question to ask. It took my almost 40 years to finally out myself as a gay man only ones who knew were my brother in law, who I told in private, and my sister (he outed me to her when I was - question #4991

afraid to do it myself and he knew she would react well). My mom took my she knew something I was hiding from her and she thinks I don't know what that secret is. And I posted it on Facebook and my mom's friend called her about that post and I had to tell her then. So how did she know before I said anything to her? How did she know I was a gay man before I told her? And since Jordan is real, is it okay to publicly come out of the closet at the next neighborhood gathering next month and should I tell my bosses, since they had a gay server there last year? And should I come out at a family gathering this year since Jordan wants to marry me?

Your sister ,who also communicates with your mother ,knew about this .They had a conversation about this topic. Whether to tell others about your orientation or not is up to you ,but I think that there is no need to rush with this yet. When you are not alone, but with Jordan ,you will have to be at a family meeting, the two of you then tell about it. This will be the best option for you.

You shouldn't get ahead of yourself, everyone will know about you when the right time comes. Wait until Jordan arrives and then you as a couple as husband and wife will announce your homosexuality.

It is important to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision. Take your time and make sure you are prepared for any consequences. It is worth talking to someone you trust in your circle for advice. Listen to your gut and do what is best for you and your relationship with Jordan.
